"Any religion that makes a form of torture into an icon that they worship seems to me a pretty sick sort of religion quite honestly."

Religious Ragings: My thoughts on Creationism/Christianity.

literarydancer:

So, I recently realized I no longer believed in God, and now I identify as an agnostic atheist. I stopped believing in heaven a long time ago, so exiting out of my religion wasn’t as painful as I thought it would be. If you don’t want to read this, just scroll along, it’s…

My kids are going to read books about sharks or whatever they want that is age appropriate :)

yup

Thank you for the submission.  :)

I’m not American, but I hope your country realises that they should cherish love, rather than stopping it just because a phallus or finger goes where they wouldn’t personally choose it to go.

"It’s a creator deity, who created the universe to have a relationship with one species of primate… lucky us…and he’s got galaxy upon galaxy to attend to, but he’s especially concerned with what we do, and he’s especially concerned with what we do while naked."

"He’s created this cosmos as a vast laboratory in which to test our powers of credulity, and the test is this: can you believe in this god, on bad evidence? which is to say - on faith… and if you can, you will win an eternity of happiness after you die"

Did Jesus actually perform miracles? Why do people believe in his but not recent ‘miracles’?

Sam Harris Talks about how common miracle claims are in the modern world.

What you replied roughly translates into TL;DR
Now correct me if I’m wrong but it seems you only read the title:
“Strike? That doesn’t even make sense. “
Yes it does make sense. It’s mainly aimed at those who spread the word of God without being asked to, but most Christians are typically supposed to put work into being a ‘good’ Christian. Hence the term ‘strike’.“You need a better understanding of this religion. None of what you said was logical.”   My name is not John W. Loftus, I also sourced where I got this from and at the top of this blog you will find a link to my personal blog. I am also not a man.Otherwise, his points are definitely logical. If nobody told you about Jesus or Christianity would you be a Christian? If there was absolutely no mention of it anywhere?

What Would Happen If Christians Went On Strike?

This is the religion I’d be closest to being part of if I had to choose one.
Kindness is something I try to be to everyone, every day :)

Anonymous asked: devoting time to a whole blog about why you don't believe in something is really quite sad. just get on with your life, dwell on what you do believe in, e.g. life or whatever. yolo ( i usually hate using that but it totally applies here) make a blog about what you enjoy doing or seeing or making. don't spend endless hours bagging out christianity just because you don't agree with it. btw god didn't persecute the jews, or cause poverty or any of that in your post. That's mankind's/our mistake.

It’s not all about what I don’t believe in, it’s about what I do as well. I have a personal blog dedicated to what I love. Although it may seem as though I spend all my time on the internet, a lot of the posts are queued.

I spent my weekend watching my boyfriend DJ live and hanging out with some producers. I also went to his grandparents house. I think my life is a nice mix of living and being on the computer. If I didn’t like doing this I wouldn’t. Just because you wouldn’t, and you don’t understand why I am, doesn’t mean I have no reason to.

Well, I’m pretty sure I was either reblogging or quoting from the bible in whichever post you are mentioning. How about you tell me exactly what you think he did and didn’t do, with proof.

I’m not a Christian because I don’t want to have to pay money to the church. In less than 10 years, when I have a bit more income than I do now, I’m going to actively give money to help build centres for education or any other welfare.
Churches are not needed, even if you are a Christian.

I can’t believe they think it’s okay to damage someone else’s property… so bad.
